Introduction: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is defined as glucose intolerance in a female with its onset or first recognition during pregnancy. Females GDM are at higher risk of developing antenatal complications like preeclampsia pregnancy and increased type 2 well cardiovascular disorders later their life. Maternal thyroid changes the second trimesters have been widely related to GDM. Hypothyroidism associated early late abortions, anaemia, gestational hypertension, placental abruption postpartum haemorrhage, impaired infant neurodevelopment, low birth weight.
